I purchased the Quick Start Guide to Reversing Insulin Resistance. I found the info in it very, very helpful and basically self-explanatory. I have been following the program for over a week now, and have made tremendous changes in my diet. Yet my cravings and appetite are diminishing, and I have lost 2 pounds this week. I have been insulin resistant probably for most of my life and I’m 62 now. No doctor has ever put forth this type of information for me to follow to help not only divert diabetes, but for weight loss. So I can’t say enough for this program. The $9.90 was well worth it.

Hi Jackie,
The ebook is set out in A4 page size and there are about 37 pages all up. You should be able to print them out on standard A4 or letter size paper. The file size is 1.34KB so it won’t take up much disk space on your computer!
Before I buy I want to know if this diet uses real food or processed food? TIA.
This book is a guide to help you start on your way. Of course real food is the preference and definitely the direction you want to be heading in long term, but especially at first it will be a combination. It’s more about learning which foods trigger cravings and which will keep you satisfied.

It’s useful for those who are overwhelmed with information, and who want help getting started in a way that’s realistic. It is supposed to help you transition and it has a lot of practical ideas for how to do that. It’s the book I wanted to find when I was first diagnosed!

It sounds like the ideal book. I was diagnosed about a month ago and really don’t know where to start, it is still hard to process. I was also diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) together with the insulin resistance. Do you think that if the insulin is under control that the PCOS symptoms will also subside to an extend?
Hi Vicky, Insulin resistance is one of the elements of PCOS, so it is definitely something that you should try to address. Being overwhelmed often means you do nothing but research. Everybody needs to start somewhere, but it’s not as difficult as you think. You just need to accept the situation and be prepared to make some changes.
Can I adapt this eating plan to dairy/egg allergies and gluten sensitivities? After 3 days on it, I feel better every day and look forward to loosing the weight. I am hypothyroid but no kind of medication upped my BMR.
Yes, Chandi. You just have to be more mindful of the ingredients of every meal if you have allergies or sensitivities. Add them to your list of foods to avoid and you’ll still have plenty to choose from.
