This website is dedicated to people who have insulin resistance, because that’s what I have and I wanted to share the information that I have learned since being diagnosed. It has been put together with the emphasis on diet (the medical stuff is only interesting to me as an explanation for the condition). I am more concerned with how insulin resistance affects a person’s weight, puts them at risk of developing diabetes, stroke and heart attack, and how to reverse it with different diet and lifestyle choices.
Since it is my intention never to become diabetic, I am limiting the scope of the content to ONLY insulin resistance, which is the first stage of prediabetes, and is one of the conditions common to metabolic syndrome or syndrome X. The objective is to inform others about the best insulin resistance diet to follow and to pass on any useful information I have found during my research. I don’t have PCOS but I know that many of the principles that apply to insulin resistance are of benefit to those who do.
